This Mid Century Modern espresso cup and saucer made in Japan, are in lovingly used condition. Although the set was likely made in the 1940's this vibrant orange color brings allllllll the 1970's Maw Maws house energy and we are living for it. We usually look for pieces in great condition, but there are times that an item just speaks to us... this was one of those times. Could you find a set in better shape, probably, but it wouldn't be this set and if you feel energy you want this one. Cup is about 2.25” tall, saucer 4.75” diameter.
These spoke to me, as many “pairs” of vintage items do, telling the story of perseverance and connection… having not only survived space and time beautifully, but also managing to stay together… through life changes, moves, possibly kids and pets, new jobs and more. The mind reels, and I find it fascinating.
