I am in love with this necktie! It was the first one that came out perfect, after much trial and error of adding the lace. I’m the first to admit that I am a creative seamstress, not a technical one but this was one time I wished I was a bit more technical. In the end, it came out just how I wanted. It has been shortened as well as embellished, and you can see and feel the bespoke nature of this beauty. I hope it finds their perfect person. We’re starting a movement: Neckties are the new necklace!
I made a patch of half a heart using flannel from another project to tack down the lace backside. I think of ties as beautiful little souls, just waiting to find their other half, so your heart makes the connection complete. It has found its person.
