Made by Thomas Germany sometime between 1908 and 1939, before they were absorbed by Rosenthal, the stamp is the Thomas Shield followed by Germany and topped with “Thomas” arched over the shield with three dots. Cup is about 1.75” tall, saucer 4.5” diameter.
These spoke to me, as many “pairs” of vintage items do, telling the story of perseverance and connection… having not only survived space and time beautifully, but also managing to stay together… through life changes, moves, possibly kids and pets, new jobs and more. The mind reels, and I find it fascinating.
