This espresso cup and saucer made in Japan, are in great vintage condition with no chips or cracks - even the gold is near perfect. Produced sometime after 1957, as that is when Arnart registered the “5th Ave” mark. Cup is about 2.2” tall, saucer 4.25” diameter.
These spoke to me, as many “pairs” of vintage items do, telling the story of perseverance and connection… having not only survived space and time beautifully, but also managing to stay together… through life changes, moves, possibly kids and pets, new jobs and more. The mind reels, and I find it fascinating.
