Because my personal style journey began with a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans in 1979, at the tender age of nine, it should surprise no one how much I revere the designer brands of that era. There is an energy in those first designer denim brands that modern-day denim manufacturers are still chasing. But it can’t be found outside of the decades that created the standard. Feel the difference. The blood, sweat, and tears of lying on beds and using coat hangers to zip ‘em up, was totally always one hundred percent worth it. Even my hair looked better in those jeans, everything looked better. And so… when I started ‘saving clothes’ because I couldn’t save my dad, I knew I would be resurrecting any jeans I could find from that lighter time in life.
